Gettysburg, PA in Infrared

This is my very first attempt at infrared photography. I'm using my old Canon PowerShot G9 digital camera, newly converted exclusively for infrared photography (DigitalSilverImaging.com). These shots were done at the Gettysburg battlefield, most of them near the Virginia monument. At the end is a photo of the 7th grade class I had here on a tour this day, posing on the steps of the Pennsylvania monument (and not in infrared, obviously).

A few photos from my two-day trip to Pittsburgh, PA with a high school woodwind ensemble from the Lansdale area performing at the PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association) convention. Pittsburgh, with its many bridges and beautiful buildings, is one of my favorite places to photograph.

Car and Carriage Caravan Museum

Liberty State Park

One of my favorite areas for photographs is Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ, with its train station, dilapidated train sheds and piers, and the beautiful views across the Hudson River looking toward Lower Manhattan, New York City.

Most of the photos in this collection are done in HDR (high dynamic range) style, processed with Photomatix, Viveza, and Aperture.

National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

I've photographed the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC before, but these are some of my most interesting photos of it, I think. Each of the eight photos in this gallery were done using HDR (high dynamic range) photo techniques, blending 5 separate exposures into one. Post-processing was done in Apple Aperture, Photomatix, and Viveza 2 on my MacBook Pro.

Best way to view all the photos -- click on the first thumbnail photo at the right, then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to advance through the photos one at a time. Or you can click on the arrows or thumbnail photos across the top of your screen after you've clicked the first photo. Click the larger photo you're viewing to see an even larger view ("Dim the lights" view).

To order prints, while you're viewing the photo you wish to order, click the "Add to cart" button at the top right of the screen, or select "Add to cart" from the popup menu that appears when your cursor is over the photo. You can then select quantity, size, etc. in the resulting dialog box. Prices are also shown at that point. Photos will be shipped directly to the address you specify; total cost and shipping will be shown when you check out. (Note: the copyright notice will not appear on the face of purchased prints.)

The Twelve Tribes Aerocoach in NYC

Photos of a fascinating old General American Aerocoach, taken in NYC. It's put together from parts of two buses from the 1950's and 1960's.They graciously moved their bus a few feet so I could squeeze my coach in front of them on 54th Street, then I spent some time talking with them and photographing this unique old bus.
