Handheld at 1/8 second ... pretty sharp, eh? All the interior shots of the Cathedral were taken handheld ... a couple were braced against pillars, most were not. I use a technique I learned from Ken Rockwell (kenrockwell.com) -- set the camera on continuous shooting, and gently hold the shutter release down for three to six exposures; one of them, at least, is likely to be very sharp, even at exposures as long as 1/4 second or more when shooting with a wide angle lens as this was.
