Several friends asked me to try and get some train photos while I was in Nebraska. I didn't make it to North Platte, which I believe is where the most trains are of anywhere in the country, but Lincoln, NE is also a busy place with lots of trains coming through all the time. Photography in train yards is fairly restricted, as I found out after getting kicked out of a Northern Burlington train yard, however I still got a few nice photos. The first series here is of a 1901 steam engine and boxcars, in a public display just on the edge of Lincoln, NE along O Street. The second series is in a Burlington Northern yard a couple of miles outside Lincoln, where they refuel the diesel engines. (Note: these photos were previously in the Lincoln, NE gallery.)
